Classroom Presentations - Grade 9

Classroom presentations are 1 hour unless indicated.
Maximum of 30 students per presentation.

Beyond the Naked Eye: An Introduction to the Scanning Electron Microscope – 1.5 hours, $30.00 surcharge *ALL NEW!

Dive into the world of microscopy and explore the wonders of the microscopic world! Students will learn how something as simple as lens or as small as an electron can lead us to great scientific discoveries. Students will examine a variety of specimens using magnifying glasses, dissecting and compound microscopes, and even a scanning electron microscope! 

Additional Program Requirements: a white surface or projection screen, two (2) or more electrical outlets.

Learn more about how we can explore the universe - without ever leaving Earth! Students will be surrounded by the stars in our mobile planetarium. Discover space theories from the past and technologies that have helped us overcome the challenge of space travel, as well as what new challenges we face on our way to Mars and beyond.

  • Electrical Principles & Technologies

Electricity doesn’t grow on trees, so let’s make it another way. In this program students will learn the many ways energy can be converted into electricity, and the applications of them. We’ll use thermoelectric cells, St. Louis motor and even make a pickle glow!
