Explore Birds with Nature Alberta

TWOSE has gone to the birds! Our friends from Nature Alberta will be at the science centre on the following dates, to help us learn more about our fine-feathered friends!

- February 18
- March 25

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

So let's spread our wings and discover together!

The team from Nature Alberta will facilitate two interactive and engaging activities, where we'll learn all about the four main shapes of bird wings and what they say about a bird's lifestyle. We'll also be getting crafty, as we build beautiful suncatcher's, that you can take home and display in your window to help prevent bird + window collisions. We'll even learn about some of Alberta’s native birds and take the bird-song sleuth challenge!

These activities are included in Science Centre Admission.

About Nature Alberta:

Nature Alberta is a non-profit organization that has been the strong voice of and active champion for the greater appreciation and conservation of Alberta’s natural history since 1970. One of Nature Alberta’s core programs, Nature Kids, is a membership-based, activity-oriented learning program that offers families with children ages 4-12 the opportunity to: discover nature with Explorer Days field trips, learn about Alberta’s wildlife and plants in NatureWILD e-Magazine, and take part in the Nature Heroes initiative. The program also delivers localized activities through its Nature Kids chapters that have been established in communities across Alberta.
