Our School Programs team has created a unique series of programs allowing your students to experience what's new and exciting in the field of science by interacting with real scientists! 

Here's what we have lined-up for this year:

Coding Day (Recommended for Grades 4-9)

Wednesday, November 29, 2017 

This year marks our very first Coding Day! Coding is an important emerging literacy for students, as they enter a rapidly evolving world as learners and contributors. Give your students a leg up as we explore coding, robotics, and computational thinking together with experts in the field.. 

  • Grade 4-6 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Grades 7-9 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Cost: $11.50 per student (includes admission to all permanent galleries, science demonstrations on the Science Stage and admission to  The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition.)

Add an IMAX film for just $5.00 per student. Add a school program for just $3.50 per student.

Math Fest for Grades 7-12.
Wednesday, March 14 & Thursday, March 15, 2018

Let's put the “M” in STEM! Join us for Math Fest 2018, as we bring math concepts to life for your students. Math Fest is the science centre's annual celebration of numbers, patterns, quantity, time & more!

With over 20 booths of interactive math activities and games, your students will be completely immersed in learning math skills, all while having fun!

Grades 4-6: Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Grades 7-12: Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Choose between 1 of 2 time slots:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or;
  • 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Space Day! (Yuri’s Day)

Embark on an explorative journey of the universe as we celebrate Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space! Students will discover what it takes to make it to space, how we know what’s out there, and what’s on the horizon. Weather permitting, your students will observe the daytime sky through a telescope at the RASC Observatory. 

Cost: $11.50 per student (includes admission to all permanent galleries, science demonstrations on the Science Stage and admission to  The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition.)
