Event Teacher Takeover Night

Looking to expand your professional development skills?

Welcome to Teacher Takeover Night at your new Science Centre!

This educator-only night will introduce you to PD courses, including Indigenous Teachings and Makers Making Change. Get up-to-date information on data literacy and coding webinars with the Northern Coding Academy. Learn how to book your next class field trip in the All About Bookings information session.

Enjoy access to all the exhibits and galleries, including Out of the Depths: The Blue Whale Story exhibition, and complete the night with a screening of Antarctica in IMAX!

COST: $5.00 - proceeds support science education and programming.

Schedule:

4:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. - Doors open. All galleries open

5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m

• PD Session 1: Makers Making Change, Northern Coding Academy, Indigenous learnings, and All About Bookings.

5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

• PD Session 2: Makers Making Change, Northern Coding Academy, Indigenous learnings, and All About Bookings.

6:45 p.m. - Galleries close. Head to IMAX Theatre

6:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. - Q&A session in IMAX Theatre (complimentary water & popcorn)

7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. - Antarctica in IMAX

7:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Closing remarks.
