Explore Computer Science through an Indigenous Lens!
In this pre-recorded program, students will explore computer science through an Indigenous lens. They will delve into questions such as: What is an algorithm? How can sequences and loops be applied to both beading and coding? Can a computer mimic the natural world? Students can ponder these questions and more as they create a beaded artifact and discover how computer programming concepts intersect with nature and culture. The program utilizes a bead loom with pony beads to facilitate an understanding of algorithms, patterns, loops, designs, and sequences. This program caters to Grades 3-12, with separate videos available for grades 3-6 and grades 7-12
