Turn your school gym into a portal to the stars with TELUS World of Science – Edmonton's inflatable Mobile Planetarium.
Designed for students in Grades 2–12, this immersive program brings astronomy to life through full-dome movies, interactive live sky shows and hands-on learning led by our science educators.
Each 60-minute program includes a 30-minute Mobile Planetarium experience and a 30-minute astronomy activity, with two classes participating at the same time and switching activities halfway through.

What Your School Will Need
The Mobile Planetarium requires a large indoor space such as a gymnasium or large common area.
Minimum space required:
9 m × 9 m with at least 4.5 m of vertical clearance.
The Mobile Planetarium is an enclosed, darkened environment and may not be suitable for students who are uncomfortable in dark or confined spaces. Programs are designed without flashing or strobing lights; however, there is a small possibility these effects may occur during some programming.

Journey beneath the stars and discover stories of the night sky shared by Indigenous Peoples of the western plains. Legends of the Northern Sky explores the deep relationships between people, place and the stars above us, sharing stories and knowledge carried through generations.

Look up! There's an entire universe waiting to be explored. Students investigate stars, planets, the Moon and other objects in space while discovering how Earth's movement shapes the sky we see every day and night.

Discover the Universe
Watch astronomical cycles unfold before your eyes. Students explore the patterns and phenomena that shape our experience of the sky, from Moon phases and seasons to equinoxes, solstices and changing hours of daylight.

Explore the Solar System
Blast off on a journey through our celestial neighbourhood. Students explore the Sun, planets, moons, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets and meteoroids while comparing the characteristics that make each celestial body unique.

Grade 6 – Space: Students analyze and represent celestial bodies of the solar system.
Galactic Voyage
Go beyond our solar system and into the deepest reaches of space. Students journey through the universe to explore celestial bodies both inside and beyond our solar system, including incredible imagery captured by the James Webb Space Telescope.
