  • Science School is designed to inspire students to explore STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through collaborative design projects, guided explorations of the natural environment, experimentation with engineering and technology, and learning through play. Science School goals are:

    • Students are exposed to a variety of careers where people have channeled their passions into jobs.
    • All participants are engaged and get excited about science.
    • Participants understand community interconnectedness.
    • Students and teachers participate in practical applications of what they are learning at school.

This journey aims to ignite students' passion for science and help them discover their areas of interest. Students will journal and reflect on their experiences, integral components of the Inquiring Minds philosophy. The Science School site coordinator will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to align resources available at the Science Centre with the "Big Idea" for the week.
