  • In this two-part virtual & in-person program, your students will be members of a Dangerous Goods Emergency Response Team investigating a chemical spill accident. Students test several “hazardous” substances to determine their physical and chemical properties to identify the mystery spill.

Students will have one virtual session first followed by an in-person session at the TELUS World of Science - Edmonton.

    This program consists of:

    • One 45 minute virtual session to train your students as emergency responders, AND
    • One 45 minute in-person session at TELUS World of Science - Edmonton where students complete lab testing to solve a chemical mystery.

**Safety glasses for students are strongly recommended (not included).

Teachers, please note: The worksheet on Hazardous Home Materials needs to be copied for students session one. It is helpful, but not necessary, for students to have a personal device for session one.
