Spend a day learning, exploring and getting hands-on with STEM at the Muttart Conservatory!
TELUS World of Science – Edmonton and the Muttart Conservatory are teaming up for a special Homeschool Day on November 5, featuring hands-on learning sessions, robotics, nature, Arctic science and more.
Choose individual sessions or make a full day of it with multiple programs. Explore at your own pace between sessions and discover something new in the heart of Edmonton’s iconic pyramids.

Programs
Full Day | Division 1
Grades 1–3
Time: 10.30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Spend the day at the Muttart Conservatory with three hands-on Home Learning Sessions designed for Division 1 learners.
Start with Nature in Our Neighbourhood, try your hand at Programming Robots, then end the day Chilling Out with Arctic science and a very cool treat. Depending on the schedule, learners may also explore Busy Bugs in the pyramids.
Throughout the day, enjoy tours of the pyramids and additional activities from the Muttart Conservatory team.
Full-day registration: $35 + GST
Full Day | Division 2
Grades 4–6
Time: 10.30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Spend the day exploring STEM with three hands-on Home Learning Sessions designed for Division 2 learners.
Start by Building Your Own Terrarium, explore Nature in Our Neighbourhood, and finish the day with Programming Robots.
Throughout the day, enjoy tours of the pyramids and additional activities from the Muttart Conservatory team.
Full-day registration: $35
Individual Sessions
Prefer to attend just one program? Individual Sessions are also available for registration.
Your session registration includes admission to the Muttart Conservatory for the day, so you can explore the pyramids and take part in free tours and activities happening throughout the day.

Robotics
Build your coding skills as you work with real robots, experiment with code and tackle hands-on challenges. Explore sensors, loops and conditional statements and see what happens when your code comes to life.

NATURE IN OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Edmonton is full of nature if you know where to look! Explore plants, animals and the non-living parts of our urban environment through hands-on activities, natural artifacts and observation challenges.

CHILLING OUT
How do people and animals survive in some of the coldest places on Earth? Explore Arctic animals, ice, oceans and relationships between people and the land, then finish with a very cool liquid nitrogen treat.
Allergy note: Dairy products, sugar and products contacting gluten are used during this program. A dairy alternative is available upon request.
