About Edna's Bloodline
Edna Elias, the former Commissioner of Nunavut Canada, received an email from Fredrik Norberg, a distant relative in Sweden. He wanted to learn more about Petter Norberg, Edna's great grandfather who had left Sweden in the late 1800's and then settled in Canada's far North. After an initial Skype meeting Edna and Fredrik embarked on a joint mission to trace Petter's incredible adventures. Fredrik experienced the challenge of surviving in the Arctic and the Inuit way of life, a culture very foreign to his own. He then invited Edna to meet her Swedish relatives in Härnösand. Discoveries about their shared ancestry helped bridge an existing gulf between their past and inform their future.
