In this two-part program, students will observe, record, and explore the natural habitat around them. Starting with a pre-recorded video, students will be introduced to tools and practices that deepen connection with the natural world.
Then, when your class visits the Science Centre, students can apply their skills in our Medicine Garden. They will also reflect on how they can care for nature through the connections they make..At the end of the program, classes will receive a Nature Explorers box with natural artifacts to continue their journey in inquiry-based learning.
Students will first have a 20-minute pre-recorded video session, followed by a 60-minute in-person session at the TELUS World of Science—Edmonton.
*NOTE: Weather permitting, the In-person session will be outdoors. Students, teachers, and volunteers will need to dress accordingly.
This program will be tailored to meet your grade-specific needs.
