  • The RASC Observatory is an incredible way to view the stars and planets! It is located in Coronation Park, just southeast of the science centre. There is no charge for admission.

    All openings are dependent upon weather and sky conditions:

    • Temperatures must be above -10 degrees Celsius (including wind chill).
    • Skies must be clear and not cloudy.

    Fall/Winter Hours of Operation: Starting September 3, 2024

    • Friday and Saturday: 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (weather permitting)

    Call the Box Office at 780-451-3344 to confirm that the RASC Observatory will be open during normal operational hours. You can also call the RASC Observatory at 780-452-9100 (ext. 2249). If there is no answer, the Observatory is closed.

    Hours of operation may change to accommodate special astronomical events.
