Are you a young individual between the ages of 13 and 17, looking to discover your potential as a future leader?
If so, the Leaders in Training summer camp program is a perfect opportunity for you!
Program Overview:
- Hands-on experience working with children in Science Camp settings supervised by Camps & Community Programs Presenters.
- Development of essential leadership skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Focus on child development, neurodivergent inclusion, and Indigenous perspectives in science.
- Training in science communication, STEM activity creation, and program presentation.
Cost:
$100 + GST per registrant, per week
Dates:
Weekly from June 29 - August 21
Level 1
Level 1 introduces leadership in a science camp setting. Participants build confidence, learn how camps work, and develop foundational skills through hands-on activities and teamwork.
Level 2
Level 2 is for returning participants ready to take the next step. After completing Level 1, participants act as role models, practice science communication and presentation skills, and explore their leadership potential through more responsibility in camp.
