Camps FAQ

What is the cancellation policy?

Camps cancelled 21 days or more prior to the start of the camp will receive a full refund, less a $15.00 cancellation fee. Camps cancelled with less than 21 days to the start of camp will not receive a refund. If you have questions or would like to cancel your camp booking, please contact our Bookings team at bookings@twose.ca

Can we switch camps or camp dates?

Yes! You can switch camps or camp dates 21 days or more prior to its start. There is an administrative fee of $15.00 for each camp or camp date switch. Camp or camp date switches cannot happen less than 21 days prior to the start date.

What time do camps start?

Full-day camps begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

Is there an early drop-off or late pick-up option?

Yes! We offer Pre-Camp and Post-Camp Care for a fee. Pre-Camp Care begins at 7:30 a.m. and Post-Camp Care goes until 5:30 p.m. You can purchase Pre and Post-Camp Care by visiting the Box Office or calling 780-451-3344.

How does pick-up work?

The safety of our campers is our first priority. Only an "Authorized to Pickup" person, as indicated on the registration/sign-up form can pick-up their camper(s) respectively. Authorized pickup persons must show I.D.

If for any reason the Authorized Pickup person is not noted, our facilitators will call the phone number on file to verify the pickup person.

Please let your camp facilitator know if you'd like to add/remove someone from the Authorized Pickup Person.

Do campers need lunch?

Yes! Campers will get a lunch break and a couple of snack breaks each day. They must bring a packed lunch that does not require any heating. Camps are nut-free, so please keep this in mind when packing lunch and snacks.

We do not offer hot lunch for PD Day Camps.

For Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Camps, a hot lunch can be purchased from our Purple Pear Restaurant. Contact us at 780-451-3344 to pre-purchase a hot lunch.

Can I send money with my child to purchase lunch?

No. Unfortunately campers are unable to purchase a lunch on the day of their scheduled camp.

What will campers do in camps?

Under the guidance and supervision of our Camp Facilitators, campers will explore the galleries throughout the Science Centre, complete hands-on science activities, and watch a film in IMAX and a star show in the Zeidler Dome - tailored to the theme of the camp. Campers will connect with other children and discover the fun of science and discovery!

What do campers need to bring?

The following things are great to have at camp:

  • Water bottle with name clearly labeled on it
  • A lunch (if they have not purchased a lunch package in advance).
  • Clothing that can get messy and is weather appropriate. Science camps go outside each day, so please be prepared.

Will campers go outside?

All our camps will be spending some time outside each day. Please ensure that campers are prepared for the weather with proper gear. In the event of inclement weather, alternative indoor activities will be planned. In winter or spring, if the temperature is -23 degrees Celsius or higher, indoor activities will replace outdoor time.
