1. How can I purchase the IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass?
Sales for the 2024 calendar year are open to all November 8, 2023, to January 7, 2024. IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Passes can be purchased online, in person, or by calling 780-451-3344.
Science Centre Members must be logged into their membership account when renewing or purchasing their IMAX Annual Pass online to get the 50% discount.
2. When I come to watch a movie, do I need to have my IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass with me?
Yes. You will need to show your IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass to receive your discount, benefits, tickets at the box office and upon entering the theatre. Showing your pass, along with your tickets, at the theatre entrance helps us ensure that the Annual Passholder is the one presenting us with the ticket. If you haven’t purchased or selected your tickets and your seats online, you will need to do so at the box office before you can enter the theatre.
IMAX Annual Passes are non-transferable.
Lost or stolen passes can be replaced for a fee. Please report all lost or stolen passes to the Box Office.
3. Can someone else use my IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass?
No. IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Passes are specific to the individual member and are non-transferable.
4. Can I purchase the IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass a gift?
Yes. You are able to purchase an IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass in person at the Box Office, or by calling 780-451-3344.
5. Do you offer a Family IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass?
No. To ensure the IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass stays affordable for everyone, it is a flat-rate of $60 +GST per person, regardless of age. But with the pass, you receive a 20% discount on tickets for up to three (3) family members or friends per transaction on documentary IMAX films.
6. For the 20% discount, how many friends or family members can I bring to a documentary IMAX film?
With IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass you receive a 20% discount on up to three (3) tickets per transaction for documentary IMAX films. Tickets are valid only for the same day, and the same film. Please purchase tickets for friends in person at the Box Office or call 780-451-3344. Discounted tickets for friends cannot be purchased online.
7. Can I use my IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass to purchase tickets online?
Yes. Once you’ve signed up and received your IMAX pass, login using your IMAX pass account before purchasing or selecting any movie tickets and seats on our the TELUS World of Science - Edmonton sales website.
8. How do I redeem my discount at the Purple Pear?
You must present your IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass at the time of purchase to receive your 10% discount.
9. Does my IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass get me discounts at the Galaxy Gift Shop?
No, but to enjoy additional discounts and other offers throughout the science centre you can become a TELUS World of Science - Edmonton Annual Member.
10. Can my IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass be terminated?
Yes. IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Pass may be terminated by a TELUS World of Science - Edmonton designate at any time. Reasons for termination may include but are not limited to abuse of usage, privileges, or benefits. By using this card, the IMAX Movie Fanatic Annual Passholder accepts the terms and conditions of its use
